This image to me sums up the heart and soul of the Micronauts. Though originally drawn early in the series, and Golden & Rubinstein may have felt their best work was yet to come, this captured the feel for the series. Beyond the Amazing illustrative talents of Michael & Joe, this piece resonates the wonderment instilled in this tale by writer Bill Mantlo. I don't know if it is the grouping of this rag tag group of heroes or the All Encompassing Villainy of Baron Karza or perhaps the inner world of the Microverse bursting forth!
All I know is this piece reminds me of the brilliance of Bill Mantlo who the industry has greatly missed in his absence.
