DescriptionI've been thinking about starting a new sketch card theme based on famous Gambit comic book covers. After a year of thinking, I finally decided to give it a shot. I sent several scans to Mike Duron and asked him if he'd be interested in giving it a shot. He thought it sounded like an interesting challenge and accepted the commission. I really thought that it might be too difficult to squeeze a whole cover into a 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" sketch card, so my expectations were pretty low for this card. Mike decided to go with Joe Madureira's Uncanny X-Men #347 cover. When I received this sketch card in the mail, I was absolutely blown away by it -- the detail is amazing!!! I never expected to receive anything close to this. Mike even managed to fit the tiny little Maggot into the bottom right corner. It's perfect!
