DescriptionI am SO blown away by this piece that it would probably behoove me to wait until I calm down to post it. Or at least get myself more together before I even think about attempting to write this description. But I just can’t! I couldn’t wait even another SECOND to share this with all of you!This absolutely INCREDIBLE piece was a gift I just received today from my good buddy Jonathan Mueller! It was something he commissioned around my birthday a few months ago, but only received it the week before Christmas, so I guess it’s either a birthday gift, a Christmas gift, or both. Not that I care about that because, well, LOOK AT THIS THING!!!!! Anyone who knows me knows what a Disney freak I am, and that I’m also slightly obsessed with the color green. So to pull this out of the package was a mind blowing surprise to say the least. Jon tells me that the choice of a green background was not something he specifically requested, but all the artist’s doing. In which case, I’m convinced even more that this piece was somehow destined for me! Anyway, the artist’s name is Mark McHaley and he does have a CAF gallery, so please be sure to go and check it out. My thanks to Mark and especially to my bud Jonathan for such a super cool gift. I just can’t say enough about how much I really, really, LOVE this piece! By the way, I was going to leave out the obligatory "the scan doesn't do it justice" blurb, but the scan REALLY doesn't do it justice!!!!! LOL Social/Sharing |

Eric, I'm so very happy you love this as much as you do... giving art is a crap shoot, and while I "thought" you would like it, there was always that nagging voice that worried you wouldn't, and your reaction would be this polite... "uh, gee, thanks..." I never dared to hope you would love it as much as you do; but I am of course thrilled that you do!

Not all all familiar with the artist, but after seeing this, I will go check out his CAF. Awesome gesture by Jonathan and a great drawing to boot!!!!

Actually Ken, I think it's more of a testament to JONATHAN'S character! I mean, how do you NOT end up being friends with a guy who buys you a piece of art (see Buzz piece also in this gallery room) on the FIRST DAY you meet him???

hmmph well this is circular argument if there ever was one... but I'll play... How can you not be friends with a guy whom always acknowledges your comments on his CAF gallery pieces, and invites you into his home to share in person the art and collecting stories he's amassed over the last 25 plus years?!? How can one not show a little generosity in the face of that generous example!?! The Buzz was a thank you Eric, a token of my gratitude for YOUR generosity!

Wow, amazing work by Mark. I've been thinking about commissioning him for something (a Thanos, of course) and I think this piece show's it's a must get!! Great piece Eric. Hey Jon, my birthday is in September, hehe...

Thanks David. Great timing on your comment too, because I actually watched my Sleeping Beauty DVD just last night. Every time Maleficent popped up on screen, it brought me back to this incredible piece!
