Description

Here we have a vibrant and huge cover with all of the Turtles, Casey Jones, and a dripping in 80s glam April O'Neil. This issue is from my favorite story arc of the entire TMNT comic run. This storyline, featuring the long-awaited return of the Shredder, was a major part of the first movie as well. So to own one of the covers from that historic run is simply amazing. With the floating diary pages April used a coping mechanism dancing across the board and the boys just behind her each dealing with their own demons, this tremendously moody and atmospheric piece captures the emotional struggle they all faced once the Shredder returned and effectively turned their worlds upside down. What a way to start 2008!

Pencils, Inks, Paints all on one board. An incredible combination considering how normally for their covers, they did a Pencils & Inks piece, photocopied that, then painted the copy, creating essentially two original covers for the finished piece. This gem is all in one and I love it!

Wow. I am speachless. I knew you told me you had aquired a major TMNT piece but I had no idea it was a cover. A painted cover at that! Not just painted, issue #11 cover! Old school!!! Congrats on such an amazing addition to your rockin TMNT collection.

You're a lucky man! As far as I know, this is the largest of the early covers. It's going to be hard to go up from here!

I don't know how huge is "huge" but it looks fantastic! Nice to have the whole crew... minus Splinter I guess; but epic none the less!
