David Baron was letting a giant Joker piece dry and working on a smaller Joker piece in a young man's spiral notebook as I walked by his table at the Planet Comicon '07. I was fascinated by his art and realized that he was THE SAME DAVID BARON THAT COLORED THE AUTHORITY AND THE MAN WHO LAUGHS AND MANY OTHER HIGH-PROFILE GIGS! He just happened to be on a Joker kick recently. I was surprised that someone so accomplished could be so young-- he's under 30 and already one of the best. He was hilarious and insightful. I showed it to my father at dinner after Day 1 and he was so impressed that he went to the show the next day for the sole purpose of obtaining one like it. David painted one for my father that is just as awesome as mine (better if you ask him!).
