Azpiri: Lorna remarque, San Diego 2003

      I discovered Azpiri in Penthouse Comix which I originally bought for the Adam Hughes artwork. For Penthouse, Azpiri created Bethleham Steele, a female robot, in a science fiction setting. I started buying Azpiri's long-running Lorna science fiction graphic novels which appear in English from Heavy Metal. Lorna is a female adventurer and was brought into later Bethleham Steele stories.

      Azpiri came to San Diego in 2003 and signed at the Heavy Metal booth. Following European practice, he drew a sketch as well as signing the book.
