I asked Ernie for a color drawing of Freddy Freeman writing about his day's adventures in his diary, in his 1940's era boarding house room, while a thought balloon showed him flying out of the boarding house as CM, Jr. on a mission.

Oh, that is just gorgeous! A beautifully "classic" feel to it, and just the sort of thing you can imagine CM Jr doing... Awesome. Should at least be a TPB cover!
