Description
My trip to NYCC 08 wouldn't be complete without getting a DD sketch from Lee Weeks, who had a brief, though memorable run on the title. Lee was so psyched to work on the piece, remarking it was the first time he's been asked to draw DD on red paper. He'd later claim it was the best sketch he's done at the show. Thanks, Lee!

This is one of the best convention sketches by Lee Weeks that I've seen. You lucky dog!

I had the pleasure to chat with Lee at this year's New York Comic Con and he actually said that the first DD he did on red paper remains really, really up there for him. I'm putting two and two together and thinking congrats belong to you. Great sketch!!

Thanks! I brought up the DD Red piece when I had Lee sign my Starman Secret Files, and his face lit up when he started talking about it. Conversely, the Weeks DD Red remains one of my favorites.
