One of my Grail pieces. Being a HUGE McCartney Fan and a HUGE Kirby fan. I remember the ad in the back of Goldmine Magazine when it went up for sale. You've probably heard this before...if you ever want to sell it :)

Leaving aside the inclusion of one of the Fab Four, what a great drawing!

A treasure beyond measure!  I had first heard about this in a back issue of 'The Jack Kirby Collector' and had always wondered about it!  The fact that it resides in your excellent collection is the cherry on top of that story. :)  CONGRATS on this - what an amazing, storied piece!

(If I may ask - where did you find it?  What is the story of how it made its way to you?)

Thanks for the interest Jason!  I obtained this from a long time Kirby collector in 2007. He told me he bought it through a classified ad listed in Goldmine Magazine(1993). Reportedly, the owner was McCartney's music tour photographer and Paul had gifted it to him.

Outstanding!  That is a great story.  'Goldmine'?  Hilarious!

I will occasionally field Magneto, Titanium Man, and the Crimson Dymano against my son in some pitched HeroClix battles.  I almost always lose pretty soundly ("At The Speed Of Sound", even), but we sure have a good time singing the tune during the match. :) Congrats again on this classic, wonderful piece.

Thanks Rob! This one's a heavy lift. It's historical Kirby...and I love it.
