Description

The Kree Captain Mar-Vell, as drawn by Alan Kupperberg at the June 2008 Big Apple convention. Why did I ask him to sketch Mar-Vell? There's a reason. Y'see, Alan had copies of various commissions he had recently done, including several featuring MODOK. I quickly guessed that those had been done for Kasra Ghanbari. Mar-Vell appeared in a few of those pieces. I thought Alan had done a nice job drawing the honorary Avengers member, and I asked him to do a sketch of Mar-Vell in my Avengers Assemble book. So, thanks for the indirect inspiration, Kasra!
