DescriptionI was blown away by the first Lobo miniseries! I've been looking for a representative page when I got into OA but never did. When I saw this for sale, I knew I had to go all out for it. The funny thing is, I didn't even know there was a promotional poster for the first miniseries. My perfect representative piece on this favorite miniseries was a page I did not know existed! Since this was used for a promotional poster for the first Lobo miniseries, I always hoped that it was one of the first published Lobo images by Bisley (the promo poster had another side with a another Bisley Lobo). I finally met the man at SD2008 and his logic was the same as mine. He wasn't definitive, but said, well, if this was used to promote the first miniseries, then it must be my first published Lobo piece! Not definitive but I'll take it! I was also told that this could have been used in a Lobo TPB, if anyone knows for sure, please let me know. I like this so much I had it framed ASAP click here to see! Social/Sharing |

Great piece, Malvin ! To me Lobo mini-series remain the best things I ever read. When I first saw Bisley's drawings I knew I was facing a real genius and there is no other artist who impresses me so much with his originality, skills and humor. I used to own a very cool piece from Lobo Paramilitary Special but had to sell it and will never forgive myself for that. I had a "buy it now" price and it's gone in the first two minutes after I listed it :).

Awesome! At first I didn't even notice his teacher riding behind him, but I think she totally makes the piece :)

This was printed in black and white above a text essay that was in the chapter breaks. There were several of them with different illo's with some backstory about Lobo I believe, I lost my copy years ago :( Great piece! Definitely in the first TPB

What an extraordinary example of my favorite Bisley run. I don't think I've seen a single image capture the character and essence of Lobo the way this work does. Thanks for sharing this Malvin! Bisley hit a home run right out the gate with this one!
