And speaking of preview night at San Diego Comic Con, this was one of the choice gems I purchased at this years event. Terry Moore had several early pages from "Strangers in Paradise" in his original art portfolio for sale (had to turn all the way to the back to find them), so I bought this splash page, plus two actual pages from the the VERY FIRST issue of Strangers in Paradise (at least one to be put on sale on Ebay later this week). However, my main goal for this years Comic Con was to get me a bunch of Josh Howard art. I met him for the first time last year. At the time, I didn't know who he was, but I saw some of his art for sale, and though "Man, this looks like the art by that guy who draws Dead@17". Of course, the reason was, he IS that guy who draws Dead@17. I found him in the first hour of preview night sitting at the Viper Comics booth, with a portfolio full of cheap art (not saying how cheap, otherwise those that missed out would cry). Needless to say, I pretty much bought him out, and then it was PARTY TIME IN SAN DIEGO!!!!
