Ethan Van Sciver is one of my favorite artists and I was very happy to make it onto his commissions list, more so now than ever as I understand he is not going to be doing them again. Ethan did a great job here; he took a well known character and made her his own. I was particularly impressed with the beauty in the face and and the detail of the hair. You may also recognise this one from Ethan's 2008 sketchbook manifesto.

Ethan's facial expressions and anatomy are always spot-on and very detailed. Many people don't give him enough credit for the kind of amazing backgrounds he puts in as well. This is superb!
