Black Canary - Dave Ross

Done in Toronto, August 2002 by former Avengers artist Dave Ross. Ross had just finished doing a short stint on "Birds of Prey" under the writing of Chuck Dixon. When he was doing the piece he asked if he could draw the Canary without her jacket. I turned down his request but in retrospect I think it may have been a mistake. It could have been a striking piece without it. As he drew the piece I asked him what it was like working with Dixon and I made a few comments about my down right hatred for Dixon's writing and his portrayal of the Black Canary. Ross made a good defense for Dixon at the time, although I can't remember what he said off hand. Doesn't matter anyways. I still hate Chuck Dixon and wont buy anything he writes anymore.
