DescriptionThe best page from one of my all-time favorite Kitty's Fairy Tale". It has it everything, all the X-Men and what character they play in the tale and a fantastic swashbuckling page (I am a sucker for them). Dave at the top of his game! Thanks again to Albert.Social/Sharing |

Congratulations, Son, on a very fine addition to your collection. I've been enjoying it for awhile now on my visits to your house and look forward to seeing it framed.

I haven't thought about this issue in years, but seeing it here gave me an instant smile. With memory freshened, I think I can safely say that this was one of Dave's better artistic efforts from this period and that Joe, at that time, was probably his best inker. I imagine both artists were inspired by the chance Chris gave them to toss the usual superhero fare out the porthole, for who among us can resist swashbuckling pirates, much less Pirate Kitty?

For a true Cockrum fan, this is an absolute masterpiece. Congratulations on adding this to your collection. This is Cockrum at his best, with the fun swashbuckling action that he enjoyed drawing so much.
