DescriptionSo here's a photo of the actual finished and framed commission piece that Paul Smith did for me. When you compare this to the scan, you can see all sorts of detail and linework that is lost in the scan. Where things are solid black in the scan, they come to life with texture and visible brushwork in the actual piece. While that may not be what you want in Colossus boots, for example, it's a fantastic thing for the window in Doc's house specifically. The entire background seems to be more vibrant. As happy as I was when I got the scan from Smitty, upon opening the package that contained my finished piece, I was stunned to see just how much better it looks in person. Absolutely beautiful, worth every penny, already hanging on the wall (next to my amazing Michael Golden 'Nam commission). Thanks again to Paul Smith for a wonderful job and for making a much younger version of me (as well as my current self) very happy, and to Tom Horvitz for arranging this in the first place.Social/Sharing |

I love Smith's take on Dr Strange and Colossus and the inside of the Sanctum Sanctorum! Plus, you got a Majik headshot-- looks like she's in trouble!

Colossus is ona quest that only the master of mystical arts can aid in! wow! what a great piece. I love the composition and how seemingly effortless the ink appears to flow from paul's brush. Colossus
