The first piece of artwork I ever purchased. They wanted $500 for it and I spent the next 30 minutes walking around the convention center trying to decide if I wanted to spend all the money I had allotted myself on just one piece of artwork.

It was 1992 and I foolishly passed on this cover for $300. But hey we can't win them all and it looks purdy in your gallery :O)

I have to echo Kirk's comment here.  This is probably the best $500 investment that you ever could spend.  While I cannot compete with Kirk's pocketbook, the return on this page would be huge in today's economy!  This story arc was just incredible.  However, you also have the sentimental attachment that comes with this being the first page of comic art that you purchased.  Will Gabri-el should have made the purchase, but his loss was your incredible gain.
