Gourdon était le principal illustrateur des couvertures des romans du Fleuve Noir , policier, espionnage, angoisse ETC... Réalisée dans les années 60 cette illustration a servi pour la couverture d'un roman: "Une Idole est Née" et a été réutilisée pour une couverture de Tina .
