Thanks, Coop. I still remember what I gave up for this: a file copy of Human Torch 4 (with the staple holes through the top of the spine) and some cash. I'm still good with that.

You can still see the influence of the EC artists he idolized, but Wrightson's style is already unmistakably his own here. (As someone who traded almost every comic in his collection for art, let me also state that I would be more than happy to have exchanged the best darn copy in the world of Human Torch #4 for this. It's always a pleasure to view it when I stop by your gallery.)

It was seeing works by Wrightson from this period which formed my lifelong fascination with Wrightson's work... A shining example from a great period in the realm of great art and artists.
