I was totally blown away the first time I saw this comic. In my mind this book, and the Electra series soon after elevated Sienkiewicz to superstar status. There were three pages from this book I always told myself I would buy if I had the chance. When I found this in 1999 in San Diego I was elated. After buying this, I found Sienkiewicz at another dealer's table and got him to sign it. He told me he thought it might be his favorite page from the book.

This is so cool!! I remember being at a convention in NY - long before I ever even thought about collecting comic art - and finding Bill sitting at a table with Charles Vess. I took a look and he had a stack of these pages on the table in front of him. He told me it was from an upcoming DD book, and let me flip through. I was blown away. I noticed he had applied some strange material to the page for the Kingpin's vest and when I asked about it, he told me it was wallpaper! He's a genius.

I hadn't noticed this masterpiece in your gallery. Love&War has been one the greatest reading experiences of my life. Sienkiewicz art, in my opinon, has never been better. And this is truly one of the best pages. Holy grail.

Wild and amazing example from this great Frank Miller written graphic novel (from the days of yore, when "graphic novels" were outstanding stand alone exclusive comics instead of reprinted single issue story trade papaperback versions), huge congrats !
