DescriptionThis is a drawing Jones did for me in 2003 using a "stick brush" with heavy black ink. It is the SAME IMAGE drawn for an unpublished Flash Gordon COVER during the late 1960's when King Features asked Jones to do a story for the now famous comic series. I love this rough sketch and am so pleased to see JCJ's trademark signature "J in a box"! EXTREMELY collectible!!!Social/Sharing |

Thanks, Rob. Since Jeffrey Catherine Jones has moved more recently from drawing and painting to sculpture, I was lucky to have had this done. Anyone who doesn't know the story of Jones and the impact she's had on the world of comic/fantasy art, just look Jeffrey Jones up on the Internet! Some consider her work over the past 40 years in the same category as Frank Frazetta and the like.
