It's interesting to see R. Crumb art before he was R. CRUMB. It's not as distinctive artistically and the subject matter is more universal than a lot of his more famous works – it instantly brings to mind the first time I saw the NY skyline or my first venture into the unknown "jungles" of Tokyo.
