Description

This is a Dynamic Forces RED SONJA sketch card. A rare find since there's supposedly only one sketch card inserted per box of packs these cards and it's a rare find. This is a sketch card by CULLY HAMNER (red ink variant!). I had this card professionally graded by Beckett Grading Services. Beckett Grading Services is awesome and what CGC is to comic books, BGS is to Trading Cards, and even better! BGS grades the card and provides evaluations on the card on 4 basic levels, the CENTERING of the Card (so, miscuts and off-cut / off-centered cards are penalized!); the CORNERS (so, watch out when you open the packs, don't rip 'em open, you should cut 'em open at the top with scissors and remove the cards carefully to avoid any impact damages on the corners and immediately place them in a card sleeve and then top loader or card protector that's ridgid); the EDGES; and the SURFACE (front and back side). For some sketch cards, you can also get the autograph graded which is also graded on the 0-10 scale, based on the clarity and quality of the signature (does it trail off the card and is therefore incomplete? Is the signature clear and bold?) I think grading the sketch cards are awesome because it preserves the condition from any handling damages to the surface, artwork and card itself overall. It also makes for a great way to display the card. It authenticates the card, and assigns a coveted grade based on the condition too. Most sketch cards, since they're drawn on and handled by the artist get grades in the 8-9 range from my experience. Grading costs roughly $5 to $10 per card through Beckett and as you can see it's a nice way to store and display your sketch cards!
