Description

My best guess is that this is a tryout strip that Sheldon Mayer put together to see if there was enough interest among the newspaper syndicates to pursue it.The copyright stamp in the back is 1982; the art description from the auction indicated 1970.To my knowledge, the strip never reached the newspapers. Sugar and Spike was one of my favorite comics growing up, especially the stories running from 1968 through 1970; in my opinion, just brilliant stuff.
