Ok, this is it, my pride and joy. I had won an online Adam Hughes contest a few years ago, and had lost touch until last summer. Adam drew this amazing drawing of Big Barda for me, and I could not be more happy. This is without question the highlight of my meager collection and I can not thank Adam enough for it.

Word of warning, I'm about to gush, embarrassingly:

I've been a fan of Adam's artwork since he first started working for DC Comics back in 1989 (also when I finally started collecting comics and not just picking up the odd one). He quickly became my favourite artist. I've long thought it would be fantastic to have a sketch by him, seeing all the beautiful convention sketches of his that have been posted online over the years. Given my agoraphobia, living in Canada, and inability to travel (and lack of monetary funds), I've never been able to go to a convention so getting a sketch was always pie in the sky. Winning that contest and receiving this sketch in the mail the other day really were a dream come true for me.

Congratulations, this is incredibly beautiful and well done. Thank you for sharing it and glad it all worked out in the end. Thanks for the warning too. If I'm ever in the presence of this illustration, I won't even try to touch it for fear of the consequences. ;)
