I finally got myself a Brett Booth Backlash cover (or 3B cover for short:) and I couldn't be more excited. (I had to sell my Gen 13 #1 cover to do it, but it was SOOO worth it!) I'd still like one of the Kindred covers (3 & 4 are still out there somewhere) but I wanted a cool cover piece from his Backlash run and I finally have it! This book was a favorite of mine back in the day, and this issue in particular was especially cool because Backlash and Battalion went at it, teacher vs. student. Of course Backlash won (he always did:) but it was a hell of a fight!

A special acknowledgment has to go out to my CAF buddy Ben Bressel, who I usually end up bidding against on Booth art. (and always losing:) Ben was nice enough to step aside and help a brother out so I was able to score this bad boy for myself, even though he wanted it just as badly. Thanks Ben!

Yes, Frederic & Enrico were the unknown elements (or X-factors) to the auction and I knew one or both would bid. But with Ben not chasing it, I still felt pretty good about my chances. And now all 4 of us have at least one cool Booth cover of our very own:)

hey dave, congrats on that piece! actually this time I didnt bid at all since I know ben and fred were possible bidder and the bigger reason was that I hate signatures on actual art. so I kinda "forgot" to make my bid since the cover wasnt too important to me anymore cause of that reason. keep it save !

Who needs 3D glasses ? That piece really jumps at you ! Love the energy and the insane amount of details. One of the best Brett Booth cover EVER ! Thanks for sharing !
