Marvel Two In One 72 featured the Thing and the Inhumans fighting a villain called Maelstrom. Greg mentioned that he really wanted to draw Black Bolt from the Inhumans, so it was a natural to have him draw his 'take' on this particular scenario.

Greg's pencils were completed in 2007. Joe added inks and washes to this piece in 2008.

Fans of a certain refined vintage will remember Greg LaRocque's work from Marvel Team Up, Web of Spider-Man, Flash, Legion of Super-Heroes, Who's Who and a ton of other books in the 80s and 90s.

Without looking, I already know that Joe Rubinstein's work graces hundreds of books in your collection, including every major title in the Marvel universe.

You can almost feel the power pulsating in this piece. If its got Kirby-crackle, it must be good!

I agree. The pencils are great, and the ink wash really pushes up the presentation quality of the art.
