It was the emerald battle of the ‘90s – Hal Jordan vs Guy Gardner. The issue was a book-length battle between the two. I prefer this page over the others because it shows both Hal and Guy using their power rings to attack each other. On the face of it, the fight was for the right to protect sector 2814. However, the loser, Guy, was kicked out of the Green Lantern main title into his own series. That lasted 51 issues (mini-series: 3, regular: 44, annual: 2, special: 2) but Hal only managed to hold onto the main title for another 25 issues. So who won anyway?
