Steve Lightle is a master of ink! I loved his covers to this underrated series. I also loved how Grant Morrison springboarded Aztek into a crucial role in his JLA series.

Steve combines the ideal synergy of grit and sci-fi in his works. His covers from X-men Classics where remarkable and were my first (and jaw-dropping) introduction to the Dark Phoenix saga. This is a MARVELOUS example of everything that's good about a Lightle composition. Wonderful piece, Doc.

Incredible piece ! I find it pretty unique as it has a more free style inks than your usual Lightle piece. Almost as if Lightle had tapped to his inner Sienkiewicz. Congrats Doc !
