Description

There are ~ 2 dozen Everett inked covers extant so I was happy to secure this great example of Everett inks. This is one I missed a few years back but it found its way to me eventually as part of a 3 party deal, multi-continent deal.

Severin / Everett with the cool "e7v" featured fairly prominently in the doorway....with a cool DD headshot to boot in lower right - and 2 more heads in upper left.

Cover inspired from TOS 73 story with Iron Man vs. Black Knight reprinted inside along with TOS 74, Iron Man 1 and Daredevil 8

Comic artists today need to go back to battle covers! How cool is this cover?! Any time I see the Black Knight I think of monty python (and that's a good thing!)

Wow! What a cool Bronze Age cover! I love this detailed scene of the Black Knight blasting Iron Man with his power lance, knocking IM off his feet! Check out all the other detail in the scene as well, from the elaborate wooden door to the finely drawn castle walls and floor! Even the inset DD portrait promoting another story is beautifully done. Great work by the amazing Marie Severin and the legendary Bill Everett. This is Bronze Age art at its best!
