John Romita, Sr Original DareDevil Pencil Commission Drawing."Jazzy" John personally advised me he believed this piece to be circa 1960s, based on the artwork, and his style of signature at the time. One of the earliest Romita, Sr commissions I have personally seen.

I purchased this vintage piece 12/5/99 on eBay from fellow collector Rob Pistella, who advised me 12 years later on 11/17/2011 that he saw my posting on Comicartfans, and actually first acquired this drawing directly from Mr. Romita in 1972. Said Pistella, "I wrote to Romita when I was a kid-- I wrote to all the Marvel artists...some sent postcards, but Jazzy (and classy) Johnny Romita sent that!! It came folded in an envelope."

Wow! Retained by Rob Pistella for 27 years, and now me for over 20. Only two owners of this great piece for the past 48 plus years! That's appreciation and respect for one of the all time great Marvel Bullpen Artists!
