I love this issue. Unfortunately, it looks like other folks love it as well as prices have soared for the 164-166 storyline. I bought this particular page years ago as part of deal with Weng Tam in 2001. I almost parted with it when Lee Benaka dangled a Perez page from Avengers 155 in 2003, but he thankfully made a deal with Michael Lovitz for some Perez FF pages that kept this page in my collection. While I would have loved to have owned that Avengers 155 page that now resides in Robert Frey's collection, I have never regretted this decision to hold onto this 164 page.

Good idea to hold on to this! Byrne runs on Avengers and Cap were really one of the heights of the bronze age. Beautiful stuff you have in your gallery, congrats!

Great page~ I love this series as welll and am partially guillty for the excalating prices~ so but they are just too cool!

Ah, I'll never forget our negotiations at the Burger King off I-95. We were so close with this page, but I can certainly see why you wanted to keep it. There are so many great images, including the Scarlet Witch in tier two and that excellent last panel of the Beast and Whirlwind. Your superb taste and persistence never fails to impress me!

Great page froma classic storyline. I read and re-read issue 165 as part of a coverless 3pak bought at a local drugstore. When I finally aquired issue 164 I loved this particular page. Beast haning onto Whirlwind was a classic panel to me. Congrats!
