DescriptionCarl Barks: Ranch Girl. Ca 5"x7", painted 1968, numbered 1-68.If you ask me, Carl Barks was the greatest storyteller of the 20th century. I know it's a somewhat subjective opinion, but there's a reason for it: I grew up with one foot in Barks' fantastic world and I won't ever leave it behind. So ... what about his oil paintings then? Well, one side of me realizes that not many would have given them a second glance had he not created those fabulous Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge adventures. The other side of me is just childishly thrilled to have a small piece by the master himself on my wall. Social/Sharing |

Hello Germund. What a great find. Lovely art by Barks, who never stopped loving women. He must have enjoyed doing this painting.
