Description
One of the phenomenal fantasy ads created for the CHESS KING men's clothing store in the 1980s. The chain was sold to the Merry Go Round chain in the early '90s and went out of business in 1995. Signed Boris 86 at the right bottom corner. Featured in the book 'Dream: The Art of Boris Vallejo', published by the artist in 1998.

My buddy and I got suckered into buying two ludicrous outfits at Chess King back in 1984, when the two girls working there, who both looked a lot like the woman in that sleigh, flirted with us and played on our vanity when we tried them on.  We both looked like total fools.  Worn once, thrown away.  60+ dollars each wasted.  Lesson learned!

Nice painting, though.

Im 6'5, a sale girl had me try on a pair of high water Michael Jackson pants from the Beat it video.  I looked ridiculous but she told me I looked great, lol.  I didn't by them, lol

I keep coming back to look at this one.  It reminds me of going to the mall in the 80s and buying trendy, ridiculous outfits.  Im pretty sure I bought all my Z Cavaricci pants from them, lol.
