Here is a combination image showing the dramatic changes made to conform to the stifling Comics Code Authority. No wife dissolved in an acid bath - instead the sister has all her furniture stolen. The HORROR!

It may not be so horrible, but it's a more plausible ending than the acid bath. It's also hard to think of a marriage like this, and a brother-sister combination works better as well. Always a pleasure to see the Stallman/Giunta combination.
