DescriptionA belated birthday gift from my buddy Jonathan, although I’m not quite sure if it was for this year, last year, or what? LOL! Jon knows what a huge Nowlan fan I am, and even though I’d be hard pressed to tell you anything about the penciller for this piece, I LOVE the Nowlan inks here. When I first saw the piece, I noticed right away that it did not have a title, issue number, or date. I immediately thought of reaching out to Kevin (who I’ve contacted several times in past years for info on his pieces) to find out more about the piece and the penciller. He very kindly (and promptly) replied to my email and sent me a link to the GCD entry for this comic (something I should’ve done for myself, if my brain was working right). Anyway, according to the GCD, this book was titled Omni Men and had a cover date of April 1989. There was no issue number listed, but this was apparently the first (and maybe last) issue. As I stated above, not at all familiar with the penciller, but that’s not really a major concern for me. Having this piece inked by one of my top three favorite artists is all that matters! So THANKS BUDDY! Thanks for thinking of me and thanks for trying to find something you knew I would like. And of course thanks to Mr. Kevin Nowlan for his kind assisstance! Social/Sharing |

Eric - wow, that's a nice b-day present. Usually I get B-day presents that have about the same monetary value as this comment that you are reading right now, so you are doing pretty well for yourself buddy! Sweet, sweet inks and the "unknown" penciller did a pretty nice job. Certainly the cover compares favorably with many many published pieces from the big 2 (and the little 2 [Image and Dark Horse] for that matter). Congrats again and happy B-Day my friend! - A

Hey buddy, don't knock the value of your comments. They are usually among the most eloquent and/or humorous comments I get and I always love reading them!
