Ok, so after some research, it looks like this was an homage to the Ray Harryhousen creation of Taro, from the 7th Voyage of Sinbad movie. Taro was controlled by the evil magician Sokura. This bad boy took down the cyclops. Just sayin.

Very cool piece, Would be a great gift for fans of classic monsters, Ray Harryhousen work, Stout, etc... would look awesome framed!

Looks like the dragon from Ray Harryhausen's "7th Voyage of Sinbad". Nice illustration.

Yup Taro was his name.
