This superb Guy Davis page features the first appearance of the Sandman’s original foe in the Vertigo series, fantastic storytelling in the opening panels, typical Davis background detail in the reveal of the lair, full costume reveal of the Phantom and his instruments of torture and culminating in creepy close-ups of the villains mask.
