Description
I spent a fair amount ot time reading pulp noir books and I always loved the cover art that usually featured sultry women, hard boiled guys, guns, and dangerous, thrilling situations. It was great to start seeing some of the Hard Case Crime book series bringing back some of the feel with both new and reprinted stories featuring cover art reminiscent of the old pulp novels. I ran across Glen Orbik'a art on several of the books and loved his style. I checked out his work and found out he did covers to the American Century series, which echoed everything that I loved about his book covers. A few e-mails back and forth, with a couple of my first choices having already been sold, and it turned out this cover was available and I had to get it. Wasn't really an option to say no. Great art in a style that I love. I quickly got it framed, with some help from my local frame shop, and it's been hanging on my wall ever since.

This painting reminds me of how good two creamsicles would taste right about now.
