By far the most detailed piece of Adams artwork I own to date (a record I hope to break someday, if not more than once). The amount of linework on this is staggering! For those of you who can't tell from this meager scan, those trees in the background are NOT solid black, they are all entirely CROSS HATCHED!!!!! Can you believe that????? This is comic illustration at a whole new level.

Quick funny story. About five minutes after I paid for this, another collector walked up to me and offered me more money to buy it. I mean, RIGHT ON THE SPOT!!!!! How crazy is THAT???

My thanks to Arthur for giving me first crack at this during WonderCon 1999.

(2/3/12) Major props to my buddy Jonathan for helping me to finally get a decent scan of the original. Hope you guys enjoy the new and improved image!

I've always liked this piece a lot. Art was really starting to push himself again and as we've all seen over the last 4 or 5 years....he's hitting as hard as ever if not with more force, power, and detail. It's such nice looking 'art'.(Art.):)ricH~

Too bad Adams does not know how to render texture... at all... and never has... everything is so flat... Sorry, was posessed by a minor demon for a second... This piece is great and you are one lucky fella, thanks, as always for sharing.

Yeah, I agree with both Damon and Jeff. This guy Adams really needs to learn how to draw! Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Forgot?????  How could you forget about this one?  Ha, just kidding buddy.  Seriously though, for a while after I bought this one, it was sort of the gold standard for my Adams collection.  At the time, I think it was the most detailed piece he had ever done and I never thought he would out do it.  Of course I was happy to be proven wrong.  Not just once or twice, but over, and over, and over again.  Oh ye of little faith.  LOL
