DescriptionThis comic will be forever remembered as the comic I chose to buy in lieu of the Superman issue where Doomsday appeared for the first time ( "appeared" as in we saw his fists pounding a subterranean vault). This was in 1996, about 3 years after the Death of Superman, and in a place where comics arrived about 4 years too late. But The Batman Adventures had just begun to play on TV, and getting issues 1-3, along with issue 7 ( the Man-bat trading card issue) was one of the greatest moments of my comic-reading, cartoon-loving life.Mike Parobeck would carry the baton from Ty Templeton after the initial couple of issues, and it took me quite awhile to get used to Parobeck's style. Templeton, for me, was the definitive BA artist for a long, long time. Social/Sharing |
