Description

This is the original comic art to Madame Xanadu #8, page 4. A fun page for Jack the Ripper fans, the public grows intense as Detective Abberline receives the infamous “Saucy Jacky” postcard. It's pencilled by me, Amy Reeder Hadley, and inked by Richard Friend! I drew it on standard DC comic board and it measures approximately 11 x 17 inches.

Written by Matt Wagner and published through Vertigo, Madame Xanadu received four Eisner nominations in 2009: Best Writer, Best New Series, Best Penciller/Inker, and Best Cover Artist. The story explores the Madame's long past, spanning through Camelot, Kublai Khan's court at Xanadu, the French Revolution...and this particular page hails from Victorian England in the chapter "Thru the Crystal."
