DescriptionAfter doing some research, this piece was published in 1996 as a x-over between Marvel and Malibu, (which Marvel had acquired), called Battlezone: Dream Teams. The logical assumption is Al Williamson did the inks as he was JRJR's long time inker on the Daredevil title. The billboard in the background even says "Big Al". However, it seems to be inked by Steve Moncuse, best known as the creator of the comic Fish Police. IMHO these are the most refined inks you will see over JRJR during this time period. The obscure Malibu character is Foxfire, probably a rip-off of Storm from X-Men since it looks so much like her. Lol. The page does have a 1 inch tear at the top above the billyclub but that does not detract from the art itself. While the art is not from the flagship Daredevil title, it is a great pin-up. Definitely has the trademark JR Jr. linework we're all used to, but I do miss the textures that Williamson's inks give to his pencils. Lovely piece though. Congrats buddy!

Foxfire is actually the stepchild (in the writer's words) of the Phoenix. She has gold skin (in powered up form). If you've never seen it here is the full colored version of the page: http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090903004758/marveldatabase/images/0/03/Foxfire_%26_Matthew_Murdock_%28Earth-93060%29.jpg On a side note, I can see why you'd think she resembles Storm as that is how JRJR renders her facially.
