Karate Kid vs.
Karate Kid by
Jeff Moy
I started reading the Legion on-and-off around the time of the Zero Hour reboot so Jeff Moy (along with Lee Moder) pretty much defined how I visualized the Legion for many years. So when I thought of getting a commission from Jeff, I knew that it had to be of his version of Karate Kid. I REALLY wish DC would have Jeff, Tom Peyer and Tom McCraw come back and do a series on their Legion wandering the mutiverse and running into long-lost characters and worlds. Anyway, I love the angle and the motion lines Jeff used in this piece. Thanks again to Jeff for doing this drawing for me!
Much like I said about my other Karate Kids piece, both of these guys are the best martial artists in their respective universes, but old-school, original Val has done some crazy stuff that reboot Val hasn't (even though he took down Mon-El), like stopping an earthquake by striking the ground in the right spot or fighting the Fatal Five all by himself. So I say the original Val wins after a VERY long brawl, but just barely.
If you like this piece then go buy some books featuring Jeff's art.
