Kirby Thor Homage No Longer Being Passed As Original On Ebay

Thank You, to all the fans who wrote to tell me about this. It is much appreciated. As many of you know, I do Kirby Recreations...This Thor recreation is no longer being offered as a Kirby original, the seller acknowledged the notice and changed the listing. Thank you. Just t' show there's no hard feelings, I'll Re-Color it for the buyer, FOR FREE...No Charge, just pay postage.
This is a Homage piece done over a decade ago, as I stopped signing "PAT" by 1993...
The piece was done from a Xerox of an Orion drawing which I changed to Thor when I light boxed it...
..Jack Kirby had never touched that original, and when it was sold, it was never represented as an original Jack Kirby as it was a requested commission copied from an Orion Xerox drawing.
This was NOT anything more than a misunderstanding & an honest mistake by the seller. This why we now clarify all recreations by stating with disclaimers on back , that they are recreations made by light boxing Xerox copies of the pencil art.

Again, The dealer who is trying to sell it is mistaken...

It was actually done as a request/commission, as Orion was a New God, being changed to one of the old gods, Thor, I hunted up some old Thors to ad the cape keeping the Kirby style..
Since those days, to avoid questionable sales, we now CLEARLY mark all recreations/homages as such...back when this drawing was done, I never thought someone would try to pass it off as an Original...The Orion xerox that it is copied from has apeared several times, including the Kirby Collector. And, My recreations sell for WAY less the $500.00 this guy is asking, more like $25-$50.
