DescriptionThese pages where Duncan is flashing back to earlier Hellboy stories (here specifically from The Third Wish) are so well done that they challenge Mignola himself for supremacy in who captures these moments best. Where Mike relies much more on shrouding everything in black and only revealing absolutely what must be seen to indicate the form, Duncan has no problem playing with light and shadow in a different and unique way. Neither method a negative, just simply different.Social/Sharing |
