Description
So after my zombie Hulk I became a huge Suydam fan and read about him and what he had done befor Marvel Zombies and thats when it came to me, combine the two subjects he was best known for, Conan, and zombies. I loved the Hulk picture he did for me so much I thought if I doubled the money I'd get this super awesome drawing. I was mistaken. Not that I don't love this drawing, but compared to the Hulk I got, I hardly think this is worth double. The Hulk cost me $100 and this cost me $200. The way I see it, I paid $100 for him to draw a character half the size of the original and then color the backround black (with a sharpie no less. you'd think 2 bills would at least get you some brush work). Yay. I guess the layout and design deserves some credit, but stealing a design, (or as hacks would like to call it, an homage), hardly uses much thought. It was because of this drawing that I have been reluctant to get up to that $200 price again.

I got this drawing at the 2007 Pittsburgh comicon and I regretfully paid $200 for it.

Well, I've seen 200.00 get much worse. I think you are being hard on Suydam, its a cool drawing, the figure is nice in my opinion.

You're right. The figure is awesome, the whole page is great. It's just that I'm sore about only getting a black backround for another $100 dollars. This is the second time I had seen Arthur in 5 months and I just expected a little more.

This is pretty cool Kurt. If you love it then its certainly worth $200

The figure really does pop off the black. I think you'll find you'll enjoy it more if you accept that Arthur was trying to give you aesthetically a high quality piece. He wasn't too concerned with giving you background details just to justify the dollar value. I think this piece looks terrific.
