This stunning Capullo masterpiece was used in the Previews solicitation magazine. It was slated to be the cover for the Creech TPB, but was replaced by an Ashley Wood cover at the last minute. Don't ask me why. Still, the illo was used as a pinup inside the book. Not that it matters that much to me where, or even IF, it was used. I just love it! Done in 1998, the piece measures 11x17.

What!?! you see almost no Greg Capullo art on the streets and even less cover art and I've never seen Creech art in a private collection before. Does this guy need to draw some comics again or what.

Yeah, and if it was a Spawn cover, it would've easily cost me more than 20 times more! But line for line I think this stacks up against the Spawn stuff pretty well - at a fraction of the cost. =)

I agree, his Creech stuff is just as strong as much of the Spawn work he did and around the time Greg and Danny did this book they began to hit their stride as a pencil and ink team IMHO. You got a top notch example of their work without paying top dollar, that makes the grab even better.

This truly is a rarity Eric. Quite an exquisite piece to own from the project that I would say was Capullo's best comic work. Stunning detail, and quite the bold kicker s-creeching with vigor. Killer piece 'BRUDDY'!!! ;) ps - wish I knew where my Creech issues were so I could dork out even more now ;)
