Description

This is the 3rd of 3 similar images of Black Canary.

Nick creates a mannequin and lightboxes it. Then he renders it.

It's a really nice piece.

Using lightboxes and projectors is/was a common practice. Not so much with the advent of digital art. But I was once at a show and got a Black Canary sketch from an artist who is well represented on CAF. He was keeping a list and collecting $$$ on the first day. The next day he was finishing sketches. A couple hours later after getting my sketch, I saw a guy with a mirror image of my Black Canary by the same artist. I stopped him to compare the drawings. Although there were differences, it was surreal. Anyway, I decided I liked mine better. But I will never put that piece on CAF.
