I was looking for a solid example of Romita JR/Layton run... and I found this page. Originally I was thinking of a cover but.... this splash page is such a perfect illustration, graphically speaking.

This is also a great representation of the storyline, and actually, in my mind, I always thought of these Iron Man runs as the trio Michelinie-Layton-Romita JR fantastic effort to come with a new way of describing and illustrating the gloomy details behind the glory of a superhero life. Enjoy !!

Agreed, a great splash. I had my eye on this one at one point as well. I had wondered where it had gotten off to - so glad to see it back on CAF. Congrats again.

Excellent page, loved this creative team as a teen & my mid 20's. They made you believe Ironman could actually exist in the real world. Great combination of simplicity & detail.
